RFT's Standup Throwdown 2014: Round Two Results

Congratulations Christopher Cyr, Kenny Kinds, Sean Merkle, Amber Klear, Bobby Jaycox, Brandon Judd, Dan Jaboor and Emily Hickner. You've made it to the "Elite 8" in Riverfront Times' Standup Throwdown!

Come see the Elite 8 perform live this Thursday, March 27 at Fitz's Restaurant and Bottling Works in the Delmar Loop. The standup competition begins at 8 p.m. and will be hosted by last year's champ, Jon Venegoni. RSVP on Facebook.

Below are the Elite 8 pairings according to the brackets. Each comic will perform a five-minute set in a head-to-head style elimination round in front of judges Erik Anker, a previous Standup Throwdown champion and John and Kane of Indio Radio's John and Kane Show. The audience will also factor into the judging. So bring your peeps, comics.

The four survivors following Thursday night's competition will perform again live in the "Final Four" battle next Tuesday, April 1, at Blueberry Hill's Duck Room.
