It is Riverfront Times' Best Of season! Each fall we honor the city's favorite restaurants, businesses, politicians, artists, musicians and even atheletes' butts with an extra-thick issue bursting at the seams with....well, the very Best that St. Louis has to offer. While that issue is just around the corner, so is our big party celebrating its release, and you are invited!

This years shindig will take place on Thursday, October 2, at the Moto Museum, located at 3441 Olive Street in Grand Center. There will be food provided by the good folks at Scottish Arms, the Shaved Duck, Triumph Grill, Wang Gang Asian Eats and Wheelhouse, as well as music from the likes of 18andcounting, Coreyography and iLLPHONICS.

18andCounting hasn't stopped for so much as a breath for several years now. Holding down a constant schedule around town, Stan Chisholm faces the world head on. His collaborations with DJ Needles, Black Spade and numerous others solidify one truth: He is down for the beat.

DJing under the pseudonym Coreyography, Corey McCarthy has become a vital part of the city's vibrant club scene -- as a DJ and as someone helping to bring national acts to St. Louis. A former retail manager at Urban Outfitters, McCarthy now focuses his full attention on his music.

In the four years since live hip-hop band iLLPHONICS has been releasing music, the members have figured out how to be a vibrant, funky unit while providing a platform for Larry "Fallout" Morris' verses and rhymes. The group's 2013 self-titled release jumps from bright R&B to bouncy funk to Stevie Wonder-fied soul to Quiet Storm balladry.

Tickets to the event are $25 to $45 and can be purchased here. Also, be sure to vote for your favorite St. Louis people, places and things in our readers' poll! Polls close on September 15, so make your voice heard now. See you on October 2!
