If you couldn't tell by the photo above, this weekend brings frackin' robots. Re-purposed toasters play rock burnt to a crisp. If that doesn't impress you (if not, nothing will), then slip on your dancing shoes (because you actually own some) and see Home Body on Friday or RL Grime on Saturday night. Psych-rock devotees will find a lot to love at Plush on Sunday when Baltimore rippers Dope Body and Roomrunner drop by to play with St. Louis' own Bug Chaser and Con Trails. As always we try to keep this list short and sweet, but remember, you can read previews for more weekend concerts in our Out Every Night column published every Monday.

Friday, November 14

Dream Police w/ Honey, Baby Sungod Friday, November 14 The Demo 8:30 p.m. | $8-$10 Fan of the Men? Then you already know that Dream Police is the side project of Nick Chiericozzi and Mark Perro, who formed the band during their principal act's downtime between tours. The project's debut LP, Hypnotized, was just released this week -- its title aptly describes the hazy sound found within. (DH)

Home Body w/ Demonlover, Abnormal Friday, November 14 Blank Space 9 p.m. | $5 The duo of Eric Hnatow and Haley Morgan make bouncy electro pop under the moniker Home Body. They'll be joined by space age beatmaker Abnormal and the synth-punk vibes of south city basement heroes Demonlover. (JH)

St. Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra Concert Friday, November 14 Powell Symphony Hall 8 p.m. | $1 Technically this show is billed as free, but there's a $1 service charge. Whatever. $1, to support the youth in their musical endeavors. Worth it! (DH)

Willie Clayton w/ Sir Charles Jones Friday, November 14 Ambassador 9 p.m. | $30-$40 A soul/blues legend with over 25 albums under his belt, Chicago's Willie Clayton is a seriously talented musician who is seriously underrated. Hear for yourself with this classic track. (DH)

Saturday, November 15

Captured! By Robots w/ Psycho Beach Party, Blight Future Saturday, November 15 The Heavy Anchor 9 p.m. | $7 Jay Vance couldn't cut it with other humans, so he built his own rhythm section -- two creepy ass robots help him deliver Captured! by Robots. This can't be real, right? See it in the flesh (or not) at the Heavy Anchor. (JH)

HEARDing Cats Collective presents: International Electromatics w/ Dave Vosh, Frank Vanaman Saturday, November 15 Kranzberg Arts Center 7:30 p.m. | $10-$15 HEARDing Cat Collective has a reputation for using its setting to curate sound exploration (outside at the Public Media Commons, submerged in the indoor pool at Webster University). Led by Rich O'Donnell, this group's goals are to innovate and stretch the limit of audible art. (JH)

Huey Mack w/ Yonas, Trev-Hype, Ca$hley Saturday, November 15 The Ready Room 6:30 p.m. | $20-$22 West Virginia rapper Huey Mack started writing music as a joke, so the story goes, but soon found himself a large, cult-ish following that is, frankly, no laughing matter. (DH)

RL Grime w/ Branchez, Tommy Kruise Saturday, November 15 Old Rock House 9:30 p.m. | $20-$75 RL Grime is ready to reveal his soft side with a new, more mature approach to bass music. His live show is more diverse than ever, and the Old Rock House is the perfect spot to see his latest material. (JH)

Tyranny Enthroned Album Release w/ Xaemora, Stormcaller, Carpathian Funeral Saturday, November 15 The Firebird 8 p.m. | $8-$10 Blackened death metal act Tyranny Enthroned will release its latest, Our Great Undoing, at this show. Preview the brutal album with the group's latest music video and get ready to bang your head off of its shoulders. (DH)

Sunday, November 16

Dope Body w/ Roomrunner, Bug Chaser, Con Trails Sunday, November 16 Plush 8 p.m. | $8 What more can be said? This comic already lays out all the reasons you should see Dope Body. Roomrunner (also from Baltimore) will be performing, bringing their neo-grunge rock via Denny Bowen (known for Yukon, Double Dagger and his work in the Dan Deacon Ensemble). All-star lineup. (JH)

Note: Though we wish we could, we can't feature every great show happening in town in just one post. Peruse the St. Louis concert calendar for more ideas, and let everyone know what else you're looking forward to seeing this weekend in the comments below.
