Two gunmen fired at an apartment complex in north St. Louis yesterday, badly injuring two and killing a third.
Police have identified the homicide victim as Alfred Marshall, 33, who lived on the 2700 block of Semple Avenue where the shooting took place last night. The other two victims -- a 29-year-old male and 25-year-old female -- were taken to the hospital where they were both in serious but stable condition.
The suspects, cops say, are two unknown males who fled on foot from the bloody crime scene last night.
Marshall is the 52nd homicide victim in the city of St. Louis in 2013.
Police say the suspects -- two black males, one wearing a white t-shirt and another in a red t-shirt -- ran west after the shooting, which took place in the Wells-Goodfellow neighborhood.
Police say the shooting happened at around 10:40 p.m. and that when cops arrived, they found the victims in the front yard and hallway of the multi-family apartment complex.
Marshall was hit in the abdomen and pronounced dead at the hospital a short while after he arrived. The other two victims were hit in their legs.
Police believe that the suspects fired at the victims in the residence from outside.
