Argument About Cheetos Leads to Fatal Stabbing in Downtown St. Louis

An unidentified man was killed last night in the 600 block of Washington Avenue (above). Witnesses told police the victim, described as a 42-year-old black man, and the suspect, a 49-year-old black man, were arguing over a bag of Cheetos when the suspect pulled out a folding knife and stabbed the victim in the chest.

The man was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. He has not been notified pending notification of his family. The suspected murderer was arrested not far from the crime scene. Police also recovered the weapon. He will be ID'ed when/if formal charges are filed.
