Two of the three men caught robbing a Region's Bank in Lebanon, Illinois, this past Saturday have told authorities that they're unemployed and committed the crime to buy Christmas presents for their families.
A third suspect said he did it 'cause his wife had cancer and he needed the money.
The three stole $22,000 from the bank and shot at authorities as the police gave chase. The men were caught after they tried to run from their get-a-way car, and have been detained without bond.
So what's that mean? It means they'll be spending Christmas in jail where they can avoid the awkward feeling of having no presents under the tree for the kiddies.
Mission accomplished.
