Brawl Between Brother and Sister Ends with 1-Year-Old Baby Stabbed

East St. Louis Police were called to the Samuel Gompers Homes (450 North Sixth Street, East St. Louis) just after noon when a sibling fight got way out of hand. According to the police, a 20-year-old man was visiting his mother at Gompers. For reasons not yet known, his juvenile sister attacked him with a box cutter, slashing his throat. He was holding his 1-year-old child at the time of the assault, and his sister -- perhaps inadvertently, perhaps not -- also sliced the infant's left wrist and hand during the attack.  A 41-year-old neighbor was also stabbed in the arm when he tried to break up the fight.
