Bryan Shelton: Charged in Killing of Man Found in Creek, Andre Hathaway

The St. Louis Circuit Attorney's Office yesterday charged 29-year-old Bryan Shelton with the murder this month of Andre Hathaway.

Hathaway's body was found in Moline Creek, a tributary running into the Mississippi River, in north city on June 8. The cause of death was initially reported as "massive trauma" to the head.

Shelton, of the 5600 block of Hiller Place in the city's Walnut Park West neighborhood, is charged with second-degree murder, first-degree robbery and two counts of armed criminal action. He's being held on a $500,000 cash-only bond.
