The AP reports that a 49-year-old man was trying to rob a storage unit at the Mini-Warehouse in St. Joseph early Sunday morning. His plans went awry when an employee noticed that the door to the unit he was trying to liberate of its contents was slightly open.

The employee shut the door and latched it.

Hours later, the employee heard sounds coming from the unit, and police arrested the un-smooth criminal, who is currently in custody on a probation/parole violation.
