It's Homecoming Weekend at the University of Missouri, and alum-slash-Buzzfeed-writer Dan Oshinsky is making Tigers in St. Louis and beyond homesick for the Black and Gold.
Oshinsky's "39 Things That Make You Want to Come Home to Columbia, Mo." spread across social media like wildfire Tuesday as Mizzou alumni prepare to return to their old stomping grounds for a holiday the school claims to have invented.
"If I wasn't on a different continent, yes, I'd be on a plane headed to Columbia for this game," says Oshinsky, who will be in London this weekend. He plans to get up a 2 a.m. to watch the Mizzou Tigers take on the South Carolina Gamecocks."@BaconTFM: Sweet Jesus, this Buzzfeed article on Mizzou's Homecoming has been shared on my Facebook like 50 times already." Not mad at it.

Daily RFT asked Oshinsky what he'd do if he only had four hours to spend at his alma mater: "Four hours in Columbia is pretty much a food tour of the city for me," Oshinsky says. "It's Ernie's for breakfast, then swinging over to Trops for a drink and running over to the roof at Quinton's for a beer."
Naturally, Oshinsky's drink of choice at Trops, the infamous alcoholic slushie shack, is half Tiger Paw, half Silver Bullet.
"If I've got time, one more Boulevard at the 'Berg, and then heading down to the stadium to tailgate for the game," he says.
Oshinsky warmly welcomes homecoming revelers, writing:"Here it is, for the 102nd time: the chance to come home to where it all began, to the place where you grew up, to the quad and those beautiful columns. Maybe you'll even take a minute to run right through them. You should, because you're home. And there's no place you'd rather be."
