You do not want to mess with Claire Canon -- just ask her ex-boyfriend.

On December 30, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports, the poor bloke opened the front door of his home in St. Louis County. Canon stepped in and asked him for a hug. But when he complied, police say she fired a stun gun at his chest.

Then, when he fell to the floor, three dudes wearing ski masks rushed in and began beating the crap out of him. When he managed to flee, they continued the attack outside the house.

The victim was able to identify at least one of the guys, 22-year-old Bret Lombardo, after he recognized his voice, the P-D reports. (Lombardo is the boyfriend of Canon's sister.) He's been charged with first-degree burglary and third-degree assault; Canon has been charged with first-degree burglary, third-degree assault and third-degree domestic assault.

We have a ton of questions about this case, but we'll try to keep it to just a few. Namely, did Canon somehow think she was gonna get away with this?

And, this: Did her boyfriend not understand prior to this that she's obviously utterly and completely crazy?
