Comment of the Day: Car Clouter Can Rot in Prison

Today's comment comes in response to John H. Tucker's post about the man being responsible for a string of car break-ins getting released from the St. Louis jail on his own recognizance -- despite a criminal record that includes shooting at an off-duty police officer.

As commenter Unterdog says,

He shouldn't have been on the street to begin with much less back on it.  How many fucking times does it take for the legal system to put someone like this in prison and keep them there?
Rehabilitation is a joke and a fantasy for hardened violent criminal offenders like Paynes.  The government should be justifying our tax dollars for the uber-complex 21st century prisons we pay for by putting these people in them and keeping them there.  Again, a classic case of us not getting our money's worth.
