Conyea Borroum Willis: St. Louis Homicide No. 1; Killed 50 Minutes Into New Year

It didn't take long for St. Louis to register its first homicide of 2012. Conyea Borroum Willis, 52, was getting into his car in the 4900 block of Plover (above) in the city's Walnut Park East neighborhood around 12:50 a.m. January 1 when he was approached by a man with a gun.

According to police, the suspect demanded money from Willis and then shot him twice in the stomach. Willis later died in an area hospital. An investigation is ongoing.
