As we reported last week, St. Louis is poised to be one of the nation's hottest real estate markets in 2016. But even in a hotspot like the one we're living in (who knew??), some spots are hotter than others.
And the hottest spot of them all in the last 90 days — by far the hottest in the area, and in the top two percent nationwide — is the west county suburb of Crestwood, specifically its 63126 ZIP code.

That ranking comes from Realtor.com's hotness index, which is based on combination of the online views given to properties in a given ZIP, plus the median age of inventory in that ZIP code. Both are weighted out and averaged over the period of time being measured.
And that means, in essence, that a ton of people want to move to Crestwood these days — more demand than the area can satisfy.
While 63126 is far and away the hottest in this market, others also scored high. As compiled by Realtor.com's Hotness Index, here are the ten top zips in the St. Louis area, all of which score in the top ten percent nationwide.
