The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney's Office has charged Dannell Q. Wise Jr., an 18-year-old University City teenager, with robbing, kidnapping and raping and sexually assaulting two women earlier this month.
According to St. Louis County police, Wise and an unknown accomplice approached two women outside the Sunswept Apartments in Florissant on Saturday, October 2. The suspects robbed the women at gunpoint and then forced themselves into one of the victim's cars and ordered them to drive to a secluded location where they raped one of the women and sexually assaulted the other.
Wise, of the 7400 block of Shaftesbury in U. City, is being held on a $250,000 cash-only bond. Authorities are asking anyone with information on the second suspect to call CrimeStoppers at 866-371-TIPS or St. Louis County Police at 314-889-2331.
Sunswept Apartments has been the scene of several violent crimes in the past year. Last October a man was shot to death on the parking lot of the apartment complex. Just last week a teenager playing with a gun in the apartment complex accidentally shot his friend to death.
