Demetri Franklin: South City Man Arrested and Released on Dog Fighting Allegations

He says he was using a treadmill, training bag and make-shift fighting ring to exercise the five pit bulls he keeps at his home in south St. Louis.

The city's department of animal control, meanwhile, accuses Demetri Franklin of training the dogs to fight. Franklin was detained this week and released without charges. KTVI Fox 2 has the story...

P.S. Not mentioned in the Fox 2 story is that St. Louis law prohibits residents from keeping more than four pets without a special permit.
