Dereke Hayes: St. Louis Homicide No. 54; Shot Early Wednesday Outside Home

Dereke Hayes, 44, died yesterday after he was found shot outside his home in the 5300 block of Claxton Avenue (right) in the Walnut Park East Neighborhood of north city.

Hayes was found around 3 a.m. on June 8 and died later that day in a hospital.

Witnesses reported hearing shots but seen no gunman. An investigation is ongoing.
