"Everybody" Wants Stan Kroenke to Own the Rams; Oh Really?

Did you see the comment from New Orleans Saints owner Tom Benson in today's Post-Dispatch? The NFL owners are in Dallas this week for their annual May meeting and yesterday met with Rams minority owner Stan Kroenke. 

Kroenke wants the league to temporarily suspend its rules that would prevent him from owning all of the Rams because Kroenke also owns professional sports franchises (Colorado Avalanche and Denver Nuggets) in a city that has an NFL franchise. Kroenke's current plan is to sell the Denver teams to his wife, Ann Walton Kroenke.

Following Kroenke's meeting yesterday with the NFL's finance committee, committee chairman Benson told the daily: "Everybody wants him as an owner, I can tell you."

Really? Everybody? Mr. Benson, allow us to introduce you to an apparent nobody. His name is Mr. Shahid Khan.
