George Smith: St. Louis Homicide No. 38; Shot Dead in an Alley

St. Louis Metropolitan Police were called to the 6000 block of Emma Avenue in the Walnut Park West neighborhood on Saturday night for a body in the alley. They found George Smith, and 18-year-old black man, dead of a gunshot to the neck. Witnesses told investigators they heard shots fired at 9 p.m. and again at 1:30 a.m., so the time of the murder is unconfirmed.
