Heat Up St. Louis: Third Degree Glass Factory (5200 Delmar Boulevard) hosts its free monthly glass bash this eve from 6 to 10 p.m. "Nice guy" Tim Garcia works the keys while bead-makers show off their craft. Oh yeah, and the vodka will be flowing like liquid glass from the cash bar.

Get Lucky: DJ Gow channels the luck o' the Irish tonight at 9:30 p.m. at Molly's Lounge (816 Geyer Avenue). But don't drop the Chocolate Ecstasy while you're there — that would just be a waste of a perfectly good specialty drink.

The Sun Times: The past and the present collide when the theater department of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign presents a staged reading of Tennessee Williams' premiere full-length play, Candles to the Sun, at the same place it was first staged 70 years ago. Drop by what is now the Learning Center (4504 Westminster Place) at 8 p.m. with $10 in hand.

Cave on Film: Caves are really great things for amateur photographers to capture on film — mostly because they stay really still. See for yourself when you bring your camera on a special photo tour of Onondaga Cave (7556 Highway H, Leasburg), happening from 9 a.m. to noon. The tour costs $5 to $10, and reservations are required.

A Leprechaun Says What? With so many green goings-on today, we thought we'd point out the one with Jell-O shots. The Feisty Bulldog (720 North First Street) is serving these puppies up along with green beer, and DJ Labs plays all Irish music, all the time (well, starting at 9 p.m.); the celebrations begin at 11 a.m.

It's Too Dark for Anyone to See You're Not Wearing Green: Still not feeling Irish enough today? Stop by O'Connell's Pub for a burger and a pint of Guinness.

Sunday, 3/18

Picture Perfect: Unfortunately, last weekend you were too busy to attend the opening reception for A Perfect World, the new show at Boots Contemporary Art Space (2307 Cherokee Street), but Sundays are a good day for some quiet gallery time. This show is an installation by Boots' current artist-in-residence, Beate Engl, who's visiting here from Germany. The gallery is open from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Easy Cheesy: Damn, the macaroni and cheese at Noodles & Company (four area locations) is perfectly al dente, supremely cheesy, deliciously comforting — just right for lunch today.
