We Want Auction Tonight: Drop by the Sunset Hills Country Club (2525 Highway 157 South, Edwardsville, Illinois) at 6 p.m. for Southern Illinois University Edwardsville's 29th annual art auction. All of the works are made by students, faculty or alumni — and are better than any Pink Floyd posters you have.

Who's the Bossa Nova?: The fabulous Webster University Film Series screens This Is Bossa Nova: The Histories and Stories at 7 p.m. at the Moore Auditorium (470 East Lockwood Avenue), and you'll only pay $5 to $6 to learn about this Brazilian music style (that's a lot cheaper than other Brazilian things we know about).

Actually, the burden is on your shoulders: One of St. Louis's best restaurants, Atlas, has unveiled its new spring menu, including an appetizer featuring one of spring's best vegetables, asparagus, and one of the best ingredients any time of year, sweetbreads. What are you waiting for, exactly?

Say, Say, Say (What You Want): Fearless Records artists and local boys So They Say play the big hometown show tonight at the Pageant (6161 Delmar Boulevard). The quintet's brand of polished emo has won them national acclaim, and they'll be sharing the glory with locals Eli-Stone.

Pay It Forward: There 's a certain satisfaction that comes from helping out people you don't know but who desperately need your assistance. Take Julie Gundlach: You may not know this woman in need (she has mesothelioma), but you can easily help her with the exorbitant costs of her treatment by attending "Something for Julie" from 3 to 11 p.m. at the Ethical Society of St. Louis (9001 Clayton Road, Ladue). You pay $25 and get dinner, soda, dessert, entertainment and the opportunity to participate in a silent auction — and Julie gets much-needed help and the warm feeling that people care.

Lush Lush, Eye to Eye: It's time you had your first Bath Bomb, so head to the Saint Louis Galleria (Brentwood Boulevard and Clayton Road, Richmond Heights) for the grand opening of Lush, a handmade-cosmetics shop. The first 500 people there between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. receive the aforementioned Bath Bomb, and everyone can get a free facial, treats and much more. You might even win a $100 gift card!

Black is the color of my true love's fur: Ex-St. Louisan and former Sullen and Sibylline leader Shanna Kiel is now living the good life in Hollywood, recording edgy, sexy pop with Black Fur. Get a free sneak peek at the band's in-store performance at Vintage Vinyl (6610 Delmar Boulevard, University City) at 3 p.m. The band also performs on Saturday, March 31, at the Creepy Crawl (3524 Washington Boulevard).

Play It Forward: This benefit for the Normandy Senior High music program begins at 2 p.m. at the Broadway Oyster Bar (736 South Broadway), and all of the $6 cover goes toward instruments for the students. To show their appreciation, these kids will kick out some tunes as will Essence of Logic, Neptune Crush and others.

Lady Love: When the seasons change, it's a good time to hang out with the Equinox Chamber Players. These women celebrate Women's History Month and four of St. Louis' most well-known female writers — Maya Angelou, Sara Teasdale, Emily Hahn and Kate Chopin — with a free concert at 2 p.m. at the Saint Louis Art Museum in Forest Park.
