1. A Hard Day's Night is pretty cool. The forecast for Friday night calls for clear skies and a low of 55 -- that's jacket weather! -- so rest assured you won't get rained on during the outdoor screening of A Hard Day's Night at St. Louis Union Station's lake stage (1820 Market Street; 314-421-6555.) 2. Boutique Chartreuse presents the 2nd annual Green Fashion Show at 7 p.m. Friday at Schlafly's Art Outside in the Schlafly Bottleworks parking lot (7260 Southwest Avenue). The show starts with a slide show challenging people to rethink new additions to their wardrobes and follows with a runway full of eco-friendly styles for fall.
3. The NonProphet Theatre Company will be performing "The Militant Propaganda Bingo Machine" 8 p.m. Friday at Off Broadway (3509 Lemp Avenue). Tickets are $10 for a night of political sketch comedy from a longstanding critically acclaimed theatre troupe.
4. The internationally acclaimed San Francisco Guitar Quartet will be at Webster University concert hall (535 Garden Avenue) at 7 p.m. on Friday. General Admission is $10, students get in for $5. Call 314-968-7032 for more information.
5. Get Born poetry reading and show at 8 p.m. Friday at 2 Cents Plain (1114 Olive). Load in time is from 6:30-7:30 and it's $6 at the door. For the paltry sum you get unlimited keg beer, musical stylings from Jason and the Beast, Glass Teeth, Rum Drum Ramblers and the Lonely Procession. Bring vinyl to swap or sell and listen to readings by Get Born poets.
6. Burlesque and BBQ. On Saturday Lola van Ella's Burlesque showcase is at Off Broadway (3509 Lemp Avenue) from 5 p.m. until 1:30 a.m. Tickets are $20, which covers the show and the food. Money raised as this cheeky fun-fest benefits local charities and animal shelters.
7. The opening reception for Nervous Laughter is at phd gallery (2300 Cherokee Street) (http://www.phdstl.com/) Saturday from 7 p.m. until 11 p.m. The self-described "negro artist," Phillip Robinson's exhibit is a complex body of work commenting on African-American stereotypes by creating blatantly commercial and humorous figurines.
8. The Vaughn Cultural Center (3701 Grandel Square) is exhibiting the junior artists, whose ages range from 10 to 13 years old, of Studio W this Saturday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. inside the Urban League. Call 314-615-3624 for more information.
