Watch out, Amazon —
Google Express is coming to Missouri, and that means next-day delivery for a wide swath of the St. Louis area for a huge number of products as of today. Costco, Staples, Toys R Us, Whole Foods and Barnes & Noble are all part of the program. So are cosmetics from Ulta and clothes from Kohl's. Dying to get a pair of Lauren Conrad leggings? They'll be at your door by tomorrow.
The map below shows just how many areas the Google-driven delivery service is willing to cover. It runs as far north as Iowa — and nearly as far south as Ste. Genevieve. Bonne Terre residents are out of luck, but New Florence is covered.
Unlimited delivery costs $95 a year, although other options include a $10 monthly fee or $4.99 per store. And get this: Google Express is also offering a three-month free trial plan for new members.
We can't imagine this is great news for brick-and-mortar retailers, or, again, for Amazon. But for those of who are too lazy to drive to the suburbs for our Costco-sized laundry detergent, or too busy to swing by the grocery store for a box of Cheerios, this could be heaven.
