Then chances are you'd be a big fan of Washington Insiders, an imagined television show crafted by the Missouri Democratic Party.
But unlike the HBO series named above, Washington Insiders is non-fiction, following the real-life rise of Missouri Congressman Roy Blunt from his freshman year in the House where he befriends yet-to-be-indicted Republican whip Tom Delay and yet-to-be-convicted lobbyist Jack Abramoff.
Soon Blunt is part of Karl Rove's inner-circle and getting particularly chummy with a young tobacco lobbyist whom he'll soon marry after getting divorced from his wife of 35 years. Along the way, Blunt dodges allegations of ethical misconduct and questionable financial wranglings and becomes one of the biggest defenders of K Street lobbyists.
