Based on the name of that conference, you'd think it would be hard for Bannon to find a more discriminating local audience to screen his film that's been universally panned as propaganda drivel. As Robert Levin, of The Atlantic, writes of the The Undefeated: "This Sarah Palin hosanna is done in by the simple fact that its director needs to go back to film school."
But then again, the Smart Girl Summit isn't exactly a Mensa conference. It's a forum for politically conservative women, with smarty pants such as Dana Loesch signed up to speak as panelists.
What's the chances then, that The Undefeated gets rave review from the "smart girls?" We're betting that the odds are good. Of course, that's the beauty of art and film. Just like history -- including Paul Revere's famous ride -- it's open to interpretation.

Sarah Palin Documentary to Make Its St. Louis Debut 'The Undefeated' Rides Wave of Popularity to Smart Girl Summit
(Washington, DC) Smart Girl Summit, the annual conference of Smart Girl Politics Action, a non-profit organization for conservative women, will be hosting the St. Louis-area debut of the Sarah Palin documentary, The Undefeated. The screening will take place at 1:00 PM on Saturday, July 30 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in St. Louis, MO, with cast members and writer/director Stephen K. Bannon in attendance.

The Smart Girl Summit is a two-day conferencefeaturing activist and candidate training for attendees, speeches from prominent political leaders such as Herman Cain, Phyllis Schlafly, Peter Kinder and Ann Wagner, and a straw poll to examine the political preferences of conservative women. The 2011 event will be held July 29-30 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Downtown in St. Louis, Missouri.
Smart Girl Politics Actionis a non-profit organization that reaches out to conservative women and encourages them to get involved in the political process. Written and directed by Stephen K. Bannon and produced by Victory Film Group co-founder Glenn Bracken Evans and Dan Fleuette, The Undefeated was independently financed by Victory Film Group and its partners. The film opened in select cities nationwide on July 15 to multiple sold-out runs and enthusiastic audience support.
The Undefeated features leading prominent political commentators Mark Levin, Tammy Bruce and Andrew Breitbart as well as conservative activists Kate Obenshain, Sonnie Johnson and Jamie Radtke. Additionally, the film features interviews with Alaskan civil servants, elected officials and advisors who were involved in Alaskan politics during Governor Palin's tenure.
