Harris reportedly told police that the customer came behind the counter to threaten him, then left the store. When he returned, Harris said the man reached toward his waistband as if going for a gun. That's when the shopkeeper unloaded three rounds in self-defense.
The customer was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries and the St. Louis County Prosecutor has taken the case under advisement, with charges possible pending further police investigation.
