John Wesley Jones has been described as the ringleader of the heist.
Given how he orchestrated the biggest armed robbery in St. Louis history last August -- netting $6.6 million -- and then broke out of jail, leading authorities on a three-day goose chase, we'd have thought that John Wesley Jones would get a lot more than 32 years in prison.

But, hey, what do we know? This afternoon the 36-year-old Jones was sentenced to 384 months (32 years) in prison for the crimes of robbery, armed-criminal action and escaping from the Lincoln County jail. Jones pleaded guilty to the crimes back in January.

Another accomplice of his also pleaded guilty and is awaiting sentencing. A third will face trial and a fourth remains on the loose.

No word yet on where Jones will serve his sentence, but he's likely to be top dog in whichever prison he lands.
