Justin Bieber, Coming to a Comic Book Near You

No, he's not coming to a comic book store near you. Well, probably not in person. He'll be there in ink, though, when the "Fame: Justin Bieber" comic book hits shelves this week. And, as we all know, The Biebs lives in all of our hearts as well.

Bluewater Productions specializes in unauthorized comic book biographies of celebrities. In addition to cartoonizing The Biebs' story of a Toronto childhood leading into YouTube fame leading into actual fame, the company will also release similarly animated biographies of David Beckham and Taylor Lautner.

Though Bluewater claims the books act as encouragement for young readers to step away from the video games (where they're singing Bieber songs on Rock Band) and TV (where they're watching Bieber music videos) and computers (where they're writing myspace odes to the Biebs), at least one adult associated with the project has gained a newfound appreciation for our favorite Canadian jailbait.

From the press release
Writer Tara Broeckel Ooten said that while researching the comic she became convinced that Bieber has what it takes to craft a long musical career.

Well, if Tara thinks so...

Keep an eye out for the $3.99 comic book at your local comic store, and snatch it while you can, because, as Darren G. Davis, president of Bluewater, predicts: "Fame: Justin Bieber is tracking to sell out fast, even with an aggressive overprint our distributor is having a hard time keeping up with orders."

Oh, shit.
