Kelli Horton: It's hard not to grimace when you're accused of doing heroin at Mickey D's.
Sometimes nothing satisfies your cravings like two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles and onions on a sesame seed bun.

But what happens when a Big Mac doesn't fulfill your desires? Well, McDonald's does offer alternatives -- like bathroom stalls where you can shoot up heroin, and children's playgrounds where you can deposit the kids while you engage in said drug use.

Authorities say that's exactly what 36-year-old Kelli Horton did Tuesday at a McDonald's in St. Charles County. According to the sheriff's department, Horton went into St. Louis Tuesday afternoon to purchase heroin and then stopped by a McDonald's closer to her home to do the drugs.

As KSDK reports, Horton's children -- ages 2 and 4 -- were playing in the restaurant's kiddie area when Horton exited the bathroom in a confused and unsteady state, and a witness called police. The sheriff's department believes Horton used a syringe to shoot up two capsules of heroin while in the bathroom. Authorities also found two spoons with suspected heroin residue on them.

Horton's children were placed in protective custody.
