Larry J. Davis, the former
St. Louis Police Sergeant who used his official position to run a marijuana distribution operation with his brother Linus Davis, pleaded guilty this morning to one felony count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute marijuana and one felony count of possession with intent to distribute marijuana. Linus Davis had already entered his
guilty plea to those exact same charges, which come with a maximum five-year sentence per charge.
Larry Davis' plea acknowledges that between 2010 and 2012, he used his position as a police officer to seize packages suspected of containing marijuana from area shipping companies. These packages were taken either to his home or to his brother's home, where the pot was repackaged for sale by the brothers. A total of 60 to 80 kilograms of pot were seized by Larry Davis during this period. It should be noted that Larry Davis resigned from the police force upon being indicted.
Linus Davis is to be sentenced on June 7; Larry Davis will be sentenced on July 26.
