According the the Associated Press, Blago made that statement -- and others -- before his morning jog in Chicago.
The impeachment trial is a sham. What the Senate and the House and Legislature is trying to do is to thwart the will of the people and remove a governor elected twice by the people without a fair hearing, without due process.
Yesterday Blagojevich missed a deadline to provide the Illinois Senate a list of names of who he
wanted to subpoena for his impeachment. The governor and his attorneys
have threatened to boycott the trial, which would be a monumental
disappointment for the gawking public.
Something tells me that Blago on the witness stand would make Col. Nathan R. Jessep (below) look as intimidating as Urkel.
