Left Bank Book Drive Still Needs Your Help

It's three days till Christmas, so the holiday spirit is starting to wear a bit thin, but if you have any left within you and any cash left within your bank account, consider donating a book to Left Bank Books' Angel Tree Book Drive.

Seven Teach for America teachers in the St. Louis public schools want to give 200 of their students books this year. Nice, hardcover books. So far, four of the classes have been provided for, but 57 56 kids still need presents. The teachers have preselected the titles, so you don't have to agonize too much.

The details: 22 21 students in Ms. Goldwasser's third grade class need copies of Miss Brooks Loves Books! (And I Don't), 23 of Ms. Roberts's third graders need Shark Vs. Train and 12 of Ms. Martin's fifth graders need Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry. You can order them all through Left Bank's website, and the books will be wrapped and delivered to the right classroom with the right kid's name on it.

Now go back to feeling stressed and depressed and everything else Christmassy.
