Two north St. Louis alderwomen held a meeting last night with their constituents to discuss Paul McKee's plans for hundreds of buildings and properties the developer has acquired in north St. Louis.

The media was banned from attending the event and Paul McKee himself did not attend the meeting.

Residents got just a vague idea of a residential and commercial plan McKee has for the properties he's been assembling for years. Most revealing, perhaps, was that any development would probably take 15 years before it's completed.

Many north St. Louis residents complain that McKee's abandoned and neglected properties blight their neighborhoods and fifteen years is too long to wait.

Another meeting -- open to the public -- is being planned for May 21, probably at Vashon High School.
