Speaking of Jay Farrar, recent visitors to the Son Volt frontman's Web site may be surprised to see it hawking muscle relaxants and diet pills. We always assumed our local demigod was a Stag and David Nicholson 1843 man.

For now, the genuine site has been migrated to Agnello would prefer to get the .net domain back as soon as possible, because it's listed on Farrar's CDs.

"I don't know why they changed it," she says. "It's not like Jay is Norah Jones or somebody that's going to get millions of hits per day. It's really weird. More of a pain in the butt than anything."
