Speaking at a hearing for a civil suit filed against him, Matt Mitchell also stated he was using "reasonable care" back in 2007 when he reached speeds of 126 m.p.h. while responding to a traffic accident he never made. Instead, Mitchell lost control of his car killing sisters Jessica and Kelli Uhl, 18 and 13.
He also says he ended his cell phone call (about his daughter's tricycle) prior to the chase.
