Old Habits Die Hard: Local Online Paper Confuses Its Name

As regular RFT readers may recall, the Beacon -- comprised almost entirely of former Post-Dispatch employees -- originally planned on calling itself the St. Louis Platform. Then, a few days before its launch in 2008, the Post-Dispatch created a new blog called "The Platform" and slapped a copyright on the name.
