The first round of the 2010 campaign season is about to come to an end in Missouri with next Tuesday's primaries.
And while the fate of dozens of political wannabes hangs in the balance, it will be just a smattering of voters who determine their future. Yesterday, Secretary of State Robin Carnahan (a candidate herself) announced the predicted voter turnout for Tuesday's primary.
According to Carnahan, a scant 24 percent of the electorate statewide is expected to make it to the polls Tuesday. But, hey, it's still better than the 18 percent of Missourians who -- according to the
Associated Press -- voted in the 2008 primary.
