St. Louis Metropolitan Police last week arrested William Christopher Carson of Raytown, Missouri, in connection with the December 27, 2008, killing of Rhonda Williams of Troy, Missouri.

Carson, 20, was allegedly selling drugs in the 5700 block of Goodfellow Place in north St. Louis last December when Williams arrived in a vehicle with at least one other person. Williams, 37, was seated in the passenger seat of the car when an argument broke out between Carson and the occupants inside the vehicle over an alleged drug deal. Williams was shot once in the hip during the altercation. She was taken to the hospital and died.

Carson has been charged with three felonies: first-degree murder, armed criminal action and shooting a firearm into a vehicle. Bond has been set at $500,000.
