An Asian male shot a black male just off South Grand last night
At 8:45 last night, a 27-year-old black male was talking to someone he knew while on the 3600 block of Liermann, just west of South Grand in Dutchtown.

An Asian male approached and interrupted them (according to what the victim later told the cops).

The men "exchanged words."
That's when the suspect pulled out a semi-automatic pistol from his waistband and shot at the victim, hitting him in the foot.

The shooter then climbed into an SUV and drove off.

An hour and fifteen minutes later, an Asian male and female were unloading their vehicle on the 2200 block of South Grand (on the border between Compton Heights and Shaw).

They later recounted to the police that a black male who looked to be in the 20-30-year-old range (in a green hooded windbreaker  and black jeans) walked up, showed a handgun and demanded their property.

When he got it, he told the victims to run.

He then fired several shots at the male victim, who was hit in the leg and hand.

Investigation is ongoing for both incidents.
