Wedding bells were ringing this weekend as St. Louis celebrated its LGBTQ pride and the four gay couples who married in secret (and technically illegal) ceremonies in the mayor's office.

New husbands John Durnell and Richard Eaton rode in the pride parade Sunday with Mayor Francis Slay, who organized the top-secret nuptials for more than a year to directly challenge Missouri's Constitutional ban.

Though St. Louis won't be marrying any more gay couples unless a judge, a ballot initiative or a new law changes Missouri's ban on same-sex marriage, something about pride this year spurred several proposals, including this one spotted by the Riverfront Times Street Team:

The St. Louis skyline went rainbow for the celebration, inspiring some of our new favorite images of the Gateway Arch:

did someone just ask person on other end of phone if they're standing by the rainbow flags?! It's pride, I'd say there's a good chance. Lol
