The police say they began an investigation in February 2009 into a resident of the 4500 block of Evans Avenue said to be offering known images of child pornography for share. A search warrant was obtained and executed and numerous video and still images depicting minors engaged in sexual acts were discovered.
The investigation further revealed that a 15-year-old white male had been sexually abused by two of the three residents of the home. The third resident of the home was found to be in possession of child pornography.
The three suspects were arrested and on 6/26/09 the following warrants were issued:
- Bobby Plain, 34, was charged with three counts of second-degree statutory sodomy, one count of sexual exploitation of a minor, and one count of possession of child pornography
- Kurt Carson, 42, was charged with three counts of second-degree statutory sodomy and one count of sexual exploitation of a minor
- Adam Derby, 27, was charged with one count of possession of child pornography
Plain and Carson are being held on a $200,000 bond. Derby's bond is $100,000. Court records show Derby also pleaded guilty to possessing child-pornography in 2007.
