Quote o' the Day: June 2, 2010

On January 30, 2006, back when 47-year-old Tony McWherter was still a cop in East St. Louis, he arrested a dude and got his uniform messed up. McWherter clocked the guy and broke his tooth, then lied about it to the FBI and in court. (Check out the Post-Dispatch's latest coverage here).

When sentenced yesterday to probation and fines, the former cop -- currently a master sergeant in the Army reserve -- heard this from U.S. Magistrate Judge Clifford Proud:
Proud told McWherter that if he were an artist painting McWherter's portrait, he would ask for "a gallon of paint that was the color stupid."
'Nuff said.
