Rainout

What can Unreal say...it's a wet November Monday and there's nothing for Chris Duncan to dry hump.

But there is this, from the Chicagoans at We Are the Postmen (via Deadspin):

And while we're at it, Deadspin also reminded us of how weird the St. Louis Cardinals' 2008 schedule looked when we scanned it the other day.

Here's what Bugs & Cranks contributor Andrea Reiher had to say upon noticing that "[w]e play the Cubs 15 times: 9 at home and 6 on the road...."

What else is weird about it?

Well, for starters, the Cards open the season at home with a six-game stand against those archrivals the Rockies and Nationals. Also in April, the Birds dispense with their entire allotment of games against the Giants. (This necessitates a road trip that takes them to Houston and San Francisco only.) They'll also be done with Colorado by May 8. Arizona, on the other hand, the Cardinals won't see till September, when the two teams meet seven times.
