Randy Bryant, Antwon Porter: St. Louis Homicides No. 81, 82; Killed in Shootout Friday

An argument Friday evening in the 4400 block of Farlin Avenue in north St. Louis escalated into a shootout that left two men dead.

Police arrived on the scene around 5:30 p.m. to find Randy Bryant, 25, lying on the tree lawn the victim of multiple gunshot wounds. Nearby lay Antwon Porter, 26, suffering from a bullet wound to the chest.

Both men were rushed to the hospital where they were later pronounced dead. According to police, Bryant of the 5000 block of Cote Brilliante, shot Porter in the chest near his home on Farlin. Immediately afterward a suspect identified only as a 22-year-old black male fired on Bryant. A third victim -- a man identified only as a 24-year-old black male -- was grazed by a bullet to the wrist. He refused medical treatment.

An investigation is ongoing.
