Are you a social media wiz who knows how to draw thousands of likes to your Facebook posts and photos? Do you combine clean writing skills with an innate understanding of which stories are likely to go viral?

And, most importantly, do you get excited about the idea of introducing new readers to the RFT's hard-hitting journalism, food criticism and arts reporting?

If so, we've got just the job for you. For the first time in years, the RFT is bringing on a full-time Digital Editor, and we need someone who not only gets St. Louis, but also knows how to help our stories resonate with a larger online audience. The ideal candidate will have at least one year's experience in journalism and be proficient in both social media and the basic tools of blogging. You'll be working with our staff and freelance photographers to create and promote content, so you need to play well with others. You should also have a clear idea of what works online and be ready to cajole, or even harangue, the rest of us into doing it.

While you won't get rich doing it, this is a full-time job with salary and benefits. If that doesn't scare you, please email a resume, three samples of published work and a cover letter that offers at least one brilliant idea of how you'd increase our pageviews to [email protected] Please also let us know your salary requirements.

We plan to make a hire soon, so please act quickly if you're interested.
