Richard Ambler: Parkway Substitute Teacher Facing Child Porn Charges

Richard Ambler

Florissant man Richard Ambler, 49, a substitute teacher in the Parkway school district, has been indicted on one charge of possessing child pornography. According to the affidavit, Ambler told investigators he believes he has more than 1,000 images and videos.

Ambler was undone by an alert investigator in Maryland who noticed suspicious files on a peer-to-peer site. FBI agents then downloaded files allegedly containing child pornography from his account, traced his IP address and obtained a search warrant. They seized one computer.

Ambler was dropped from the Parkway substitute teacher list after the FBI contacted the district.
