Rickey Bates: St. Louis Teen Charged With Murder of Antwoine Shaw

Rickey Bates lives just two blocks from the scene of the crime.

St. Louis prosecutors on Sunday charged 18-year-old Ricky L. Bates of St. Louis with the murder of Antwoine Shaw.

Shaw, 35, was found shot to death behind the wheel of a running Chevrolet Monte Carlo on March 4. The murder occurred around 8 p.m. in the 5700 block of Mimika in north St. Louis. According to police, Shaw lives just two blocks from the scene of the crime, in the 5500 block of Mimika.

He's charged with first-degree murder, first-degree robbery and two counts of armed-criminal action. A judge Sunday set bond at $100,000 cash only.
