Exactly one month after Annette Brock, 29, was found dead in a vacant building in north St. Louis, police officials have identified the suspect they believe is responsible for her death.
And in announcing the murder charges yesterday against Ricky Allen, 43, St. Louis metro police officials have also revealed some new gruesome details about the alleged sexual assault and homicide.
The probable-cause statement, on view below, says: "Her clothes were in disarray and her underwear was ripped." The autopsy, the report says, reveals she had been strangled to death.

The woman was found on the 4300 block of College Avenue inside a vacant building. The charges don't specify what relationship the suspect may have had to the victim or how her body ended up in that location.
But the statement from the St. Louis Circuit Attorney's Office does have this account of Allen's alleged confession to police: "The defendant told me that while he was touching the victim sexually that he placed his hands around her neck and strangled her until she stopped moving."
Allen is facing a felony second-degree murder charge. He lives on the 1700 block of Hudson Road in north St. Louis.
Police say a judge has set his bond at $150,000.
Brock was the 45th homicide victim in the city of St. Louis this year.

Incident: Suspicious Death Location: 4300 block of College Date/Time: 06/22/13 @ 6:25 p.m. Victim: 29-year old black female Police responded to a call for a deceased female. The victim was located inside a vacant building at this location. There were no obvious signs of trauma to the victim. Cause of death is unknown pending the results of an autopsy. The victim's name is being withheld pending next of kin notification. The investigation is ongoing.
