More alarming, though, is that Superman symbol. I got nothing against Supes -- he famously stands for truth, justice and the American way, after all -- but he wasn't born in this country. He's a well-known, undocumented alien who arrived here through no choice of his own and did the best he could to better himself and his adoptive country. It may be the American dream in action, but the narrative doesn't go over well with rural voters Steelman appears to be courting in her (much more casual) outfit.
