A sixteen-year-old male was shot Tuesday night at the MetroLink stop near Scottrade Center.

The shooting took place around 11:27 p.m., police said, not long after the Blues beat the New Jersey Devils 3-2 in overtime. The MetroLink stop at 18th and Clark is just one block from the hockey arena.

"The victim stated he was walking in the area when he heard a single gunshot and felt a pain in his abdomen," according to a police summary of the incident. "The victim was transported to a hospital where he was listed as stable."

The investigation is ongoing; police did not provide a description of the suspect.
